Localsville.nz is based in Auckland, NZ, and is dedicated to helping businesses and organisations thrive while supporting the local community. Our unique selling point is our commitment to returning funds to businesses and organisations, creating a sustainable ecosystem. We’ve partnered with Stripe to ensure a secure payment gateway will return 50% of your customer’s Supporter sub. to you!
What We Do
We’re a networking organisation dedicated to helping grow your business or organisation (biz/org). Our mission is simple:
To help your local community get more involved with the businesses and organisations in their area across NZ.
Here’s how it works:
a/ Join as a Biz/Org
If you’re a business or organisation owner/operator, start by joining as a Biz/Org (free — takes about 5 minutes).
b/ Display Your Support QR Code
Next, display your Support QR code so your community can scan in (free — 5 minutes).
Your community members will then join as Community (also free).
c/ Send Invites & Share Your Deal of the Day
Send out invites so your community can enjoy your Special Deal (Deal of the Day) — it appears right on the invite.
d/ Watch Your Revenue Grow
Every time someone upgrades their subscription to Supporter, you earn funds.
Our Mission
We exist to bring communities and local biz/orgs together. Your chosen admin can easily invite community members to your events simply by sending an invite. The Community and Supporters are already out there — you just need to tap into them!
What Biz/Orgs Get (Once Registered)
All registered biz/orgs can:
- Select customers/clients who have joined from their community.
- Receive funds whenever these customers/clients upgrade their subscription to Supporter.
- Find volunteers easily (if you’re an organisation that needs them). Your admin can locate volunteers in your area via the gear icon dropdown — free.
- Reduce isolation and loneliness by helping create a sense of belonging in your community — free.
- Redeem up to 50% of your subscription at local biz/orgs.
How We Do It
- We’re an e-commerce site partnered with Stripe (a super secure global payment gateway), which means we never touch your money directly. Stripe handles all transactions. When you become a Supporter, 50% of your subscription goes to the business or organisation you scanned in at — or the one you scan in on our homepage (just scroll down).
- If you register your business or organisation (free!) and you need volunteers, you can find them by displaying your Support QR code and letting them know they can scan-in and join Localsville as a Community member (also free).
- When people join Localsville as Community members, they can go to My Community and set their volunteering preferences. Your Admin will be able to see these preferences in the dropdown under the gear icon (top-right) and can invite them to your business/organisation’s promos, giveaways, or social events. Admins can also keep track of invitations by heading to Sent Invites in that same dropdown.
- We help reduce isolation and loneliness by creating a genuine sense of belonging — without judgement. If you want to read more about what “a sense of belonging” means, you can check out the blog post linked on our site.
- In My Community, people can choose how they want to get involved locally. Community membership is free because we want everyone to have the chance to connect, be social, and contribute.
- Instead of sending 50% of your subscription back to the business or organisation you support, you can choose to Redeem it with them. Just talk to their management and decide together how you’d like to use it. They’ve already received the payment, so it’s completely up to you and them how it gets spent.

We’ve developed The (group) Invite as a way
for you to get to know the locals.
List your biz/org and get to know
your Community by sending them
a Group Invite to your social
event, or by inviting them to your local cafe.
